RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 17^th July 2013, it transferred to participants in its employee share schemes 5,136 Ordinary Shares at prices of €13.64 and €14.79 per Ordinary Share and at prices of £11.19 and £13.13 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 6,426,720 Ordinary Shares in Treasury. The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 729,405,888.
