CRIMSON TIDE CONTRACT TO SUPPLY MPRO MOBILE DATA SYSTEM TO HYDREX (UK)

Crimson Tide, the mobile data solutions company working in partnership with Vodafone Platinum Partner Wish Communications, has been recommended to and subsequently received an order from Hydrex Equipment (UK) Ltd for its advanced mpro mobile data system. The contract runs for 36 months and incorporates an initial 40 Motorola MC55 smartphone units.

Hydrex specialises in the rental, contract rental and sale of mobile plant and equipment to a variety of industrial sectors including rail, mineral extraction, waste recycling, construction, civil engineering and industrial rehandling. The business operates through five divisions which are supported by a national network of depots.

Crimson Tide's mobile mpro system allows field-based users to service and repair Hydrex's wide range of machines. The mpro system is being customised for Hydrex to allow complex servicing scheduling and enhancements such as barcode scanning. The system will also geotag users to allow plant location information to be used in its service log and incorporate an 'over the air' remote management solution for field users.

Says Crimson Tide Chairman Barrie Whipp: 'Hydrex operates an incredible range of mobile plant and equipment with complex servicing and maintenance schedules. We're really excited to work with the company to implement a world class mobile solution.  The transaction was introduced by our partner, Wish Communications, a Vodafone platinum partner, and is the most significant business partner introduction to date'.

Hydrex Chief Executive Officer, Carl D'Ammassa also comments: "This decision demonstrates Hydrex's focus on maintenance quality, service excellence and safety by having better management information. This enables us to better manage our compliance regime and deliver continuous improvement to our maintenance operation. Crimson Tide is the right partner for Hydrex to deliver this innovative approach to maintenance and safety management, and we plan to roll-out the system initially in our rail business before introducing to our other divisions shortly".
