Appointment of a Director

The Board of F&C Capital and Income Investment Trust PLC is pleased to announce that Clare Dobie has been appointed as a non-executive Director with effect from 16 July 2012. 

Clare has held senior marketing positions in the asset management industry both at Barclays Global Investors and at GAM. She is currently director of Braxted Marketing Measures Ltd, a marketing and client service consultancy. Her non-executive roles include a directorship of the Southend University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.  She began her career as a financial journalist, holding editorial posts with The Times and The Independent, where she was the City Editor.

Save as listed above, no information is required to be disclosed in respect of this appointment under paragraphs 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.

Commenting on the appointment, Steve Bates, Chairman of F&C Capital and Income Investment Trust PLC, said:
