The Board of Investors Capital Trust plc ('the Company') is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Iain McLaren as a non executive Director of the Company with effect from 19 March 2009.

Mr McLaren, who is 58 years old, retired from KPMG in 2008 having been a partner for 27 years and was senior partner in Scotland from 1999 to 2004. He is currently a non executive director and chairman of the audit committee of Cairn Energy plc and a non executive director of Baillie Gifford Shin Nippon plc.

There is no other information required to be disclosed under section 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.
