Appointment new CEO - further information
Following the announcement of the appointment of Kenneth John Lamb on 11 April
2007 and the AGM on 30 April 2007, Cyan Holdings Plc (AIM:CYAN.L), the fabless
semiconductor company specialising in the development of low power consumption,
configurable microcontroller chips, are pleased to give the following details of
Kenn and the past experience that he brings to Cyan.
Kenn is an Electronic Engineering graduate of London's Imperial College when he
gained a 1st Class Honours degree in 1981. Up until July 2006 Kenn was the
Chief Executive Officer of Elixent Ltd a technology spin out of HP Labs. He
guided the company from formation through multiple funding rounds and then led
the negotiations that resulted in sale of the business to Matsushita.
Kenn joined Elixent from ARC International where he was Senior VP Sales. He
successfully restructured the international sales team and was a member of the
executive team that successfully floated ARC International on the London Stock
Exchange in 2000 with a market capitalization of £500m.
Prior to ARC, Kenn held a number of senior positions in semi-conductor companies
including European General Manager of Comdisco Systems Inc/ Alta Group Cadence
Design Systems Inc, European General Manager Actel Europe Ltd and Managing
Director Pentica Systems.
Kenn brings to Cyan over 10 years experience of running engineering teams, which
means he has an understanding of Cyan's technology what it costs, how long they
take to develop, the people skills and experience required. His experience of
running international sales organisations including both direct and distribution
selling ASICs, components, software, IP and development tools means that Kenn
understands from direct experience the sales and marketing requirements for Cyan
to be successful.
Finally after over 10 years of running companies and with extensive experience
of fund raising, the M&A process and flotation, Kenn has the hands on experience
to manage and scale Cyan.
