AGM Statement
10 July 2006
At the Annual General Meeting of DCC plc, the sales, marketing and business
support services group, to be held in Dublin at 11.00 a.m. today, Jim Flavin,
Chief Executive/Deputy Chairman, will make the following statement:
'As less than two months have elapsed since the preliminary results
announcement on 15 May 2006 and as the Group's business is significantly
second-half weighted, not a lot can be added to the market guidance
given in that announcement. However we are pleased with trading results
in the first quarter and in particular the continuing pick up in the
results of DCC SerCom.
We continue to be active on the acquisition front and we are confident
that the recent acquisition of 50% of the William Tracey group of
companies (Scotland's leading recycling and waste management business)
and the acquisition announced last Friday of Carlton Fuels (the fast
growing north of England based oil distribution business) will prove
rewarding.
DCC is well positioned to achieve market expectations in the current year.'
