APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
De La Rue plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Stevens as a non-executive director of the Company with effect from 2 January 2013.
Mr Stevens has extensive international experience in the technology and engineering sectors, having spent over thirty years operating across the globe, including in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. He was a director of Cobham plc between 2003 and 2012, where he held a range of positions, becoming Chief Executive in 2010 until stepping down from that role in June 2012. Before that he held senior positions in Rolls-Royce, Messier Dowty International and Spirent plc.
Commenting on the appointment Philip Rogerson, Chairman of De La Rue plc said:
"Andrew Stevens brings with him valuable and highly relevant experience of working in many parts of the world where De La Rue does business. This, combined with his background in technology and engineering excellence, will enable him to make a significant contribution to the Board and the strategic direction of the Group."
There is nothing which is required to be disclosed under Listing Rule 9.6.13 in respect of Andrew Stevens.
