De La Rue plc announces that on 13 February 2007 it purchased for cancellation
125,000 of its ordinary shares at a price of 695p per share from JPMorgan
Cazenove Limited.



Following this purchase the total number of shares in issue will be 160,489,003
shares.



De La Rue plc does not hold any shares in Treasury and hence the total number of
voting rights in the Company following settlement of the above transaction will
be 160,489,003.
