Dechra Pharmaceuticals PLC has been notified on 23 January 2007 that Rathbone
Brothers Plc, as holding company of Rathbone Investment Management Ltd and
Rathbone Unit Trust Management Ltd, holds an indirect interest in 3,285,885
voting rights in the Company. This represents 6.24% of the Company's total
voting rights.


The voting rights are held as follows:

Rathbone Investment Management Ltd                                        0.99%
Rathbone Unit Trust Management Ltd                                        5.25%


In connection with the implementation of the Transparency Directive, Rathbone
Brothers Plc have adopted the policy of making a declaration of all holdings as
at 20 January 2007 irrespective of whether a transaction has occurred. This
