Appointment of Three New Directors
Driver Group, a leading provider of specialist commercial and dispute resolution
services to the construction industry, is delighted to announce that it has
strengthened the senior management team of its principal subsidiary, Driver
Consult Limited, with the appointment of three new Directors. Andrew Glover has
joined the Group as Northern Regional Director, Alexander Dickson is joining as
Director of the Group's Scottish office and Tim McGoldrick joins as Heavy
Engineering Director.
The full benefits of these appointments will be felt in the Group's next
financial year, ending 30 September 2007.
Andrew Glover, aged 54, is a chartered civil engineer with over thirty years'
experience of the construction sector. He has specialised in the commercial and
contractual aspects of the industry and has extensive experience in preparing
and defending claims, acting for the Referring or Responding Party in
Adjudication and has been appointed as Expert Witness on a range of construction
projects including giving evidence in Arbitration and Litigation. Andrew is
listed on the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators' Panel of Adjudicators, is an
Accredited Mediator and has prepared expert reports on projects valued in excess
of £100 million.
Andrew joins Driver Group from Trett Consulting, the commercial and contract
consultancy, where he was a Director and where he worked for nine years. Prior
to that, having held senior positions in constructing companies, he was a
Principal of Glover Associates for four years providing commercial and contract
advice to the construction industry.
Tim McGoldrick, aged 48, is a chartered quantity surveyor, with over 23 years'
experience in the construction industry. He has substantial experience in
providing pre and post contract advice, claims preparation and defence, and
dispute management services including the management of arbitration. Tim has
extensive international experience in the Far East and Australia as well as in
Europe and North America. He also acts as an expert witness and lectures on all
matters in relation to construction law and in-house forms of contract.
Tim joins Driver Group from EC Harris, the professional services consultancy,
where he spent three years as a Partner and Head of Contract Advisory Service.
Previously, Tim worked for Faithful & Gould, one of the world's largest project
and cost management consultancies, as Head of Contracts and Dispute Management
Services. From 1989 to 2000, Tim worked at James R Knowles Ltd, latterly as
Executive Director.
Alexander Dickson, aged 46 years, is a quantity surveyor with a Masters degree
in business adminstration and a law degree. He has over 22 years' experience in
the construction industry, ranging from commercial and contract management to
the preparation and defence of claims. He has also acted as expert witness on
numerous construction disputes. Alexander is a Member of Chartered Institute of
Building and a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
Alexander joins from Trett Consulting, where he spent the last seven years,
latterly running the consultancy's Scottish office. Between 1994 and 1998, he
was Commercial Manager at Jarvis Construction (UK) plc (formerly Shanks & McEwan
Civil Engineering). His earlier career was at Amey Construction, MJ Gleeson and
Tarmac Regional Construction.
