New Board appointment
Following the acquisition of initiate Consulting Limted ("Initiate"), Driver Group is delighted to welcome Steve Norris onto the Company Board as a non-executive director.
Steven John Norris, 69, started his career in the engineering and motor industries, entering into politics in 1977 when he was elected to Berkshire County Council. In 1983 he became the Member of Parliament for Oxford East and subsequently held various parliamentary positions until 1992 when he became the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Transport and Minister for Transport in London. Mr Norris was responsible for the Jubilee line extension, the largest extension of the London Underground network to date. Mr Norris holds an MA in Jurisprudence from the University of Oxford.

Mr Norris was a director of Jarvis PLC, a railway support services company, when it was placed into administration in March 2010, amidst difficult economic conditions. He was also a director of UK engineering business Vital Services Group Limited, until it was placed into administration in November 2013.
