'Roll out of screens and graphical material'
Delling Group PLC ('Delling' or 'the Company'), the AIM-listed marketing support
services company, has entered into a two year £1.0 million per annum contract
with Expert Invest AB ('Expert') for the implementation of graphic and motion
media, in addition to screen installations, in Expert's recently acquired
'Power' shopping chain. The contract follows on from the success of the motion
media pilot project that Delling announced on 25th April 2006.
Power has 30 large stores in Sweden and sells a wide range of consumer
electrical products. The Expert group, one of the largest retailers in
Scandinavia, has approximately 950 shops in the region and in the Baltic's.
Work on the contract begins immediately and is expected to be at full monthly
volume by the end of August 2006. There is a 3 month notice opt out clause in
the contract for Expert, which Delling does not anticipate being exercised.
Pleasingly, the contract has been designed as a framework agreement to allow the
expansion of Delling's services into Expert's approximately 300 other shops in
Sweden. If this potential is exploited the contract volume would be
substantially higher than the volume relating to the Power shops.
The screen and motion media part of the contract is based on Delling Group's
'turn key' concept that includes all elements from planning to installation as
well as management of the systems and production of content for the screens
Geir Lolleng, CEO of Delling Group commented:
'As the recent announcements of May 30th and June 1st 2006 demonstrate, Delling
Group has an excellent pipeline of prospects with existing as well as new
customers. I believe that the rate in which these are converting into contracts
is increasing predominantly because our outsourced offering is increasingly
being appreciated and understood by the market.
'I am delighted by this, our first significant screen contract and I am
confident that sales in this area will continue to grow. I believe that our
customers place high value on their ability to keep ultimate control over this
media channel and the Delling model of management and installation is therefore
being well received'.
