Acal plc (the "Company") received notice on 21 March 2002 that, for the purposes 
of Part VI of the Companies Act 1985 (as amended) M&G Securities Limited no 
longer has a notifiable interest in the issued share capital of the Company.

Notwithstanding the above notification, certain companies within the Prudential 
plc group of companies continue to have notifiable interests, details of which
