NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS OF DIRECTORS, PERSONS DISCHARGING MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY OR CONNECTED PERSONS

The share interests of the under-noted directors and persons discharging managerial responsibility have increased following the acquisition of Partnership and Matching Shares under the Drax Group plc Approved Share Incentive Plan (the 'Plan') on 12 May 2008. In accordance with the rules of the Plan these shares will be held in trust by Capita IRG Trustees Limited and registered in the name TD Waterhouse Nominees (Europe) Limited a/c CESNOMS.

The notifications below are all in accordance with DTR 3.1.4 R(1)(a) and DTR 3.1.4 R(1)(b) and the dealings were in respect of ordinary shares of 11 16/29 pence each in the share capital of the Company of which there were 339,397,000 shares in issue at the time of the dealings.
