Notification of a Transaction by a 

Person Discharging Managerial Responsibility

Pete Madden, President and Chief Executive Officer of Drax Biomass Inc. has confirmed that on 13 April 2016 he purchased 10,000 ordinary shares in Drax Group plc ("Drax" or the "Company") at a price of $4.3405 (305.15 pence per share based on the exchange rate on 13 April 2016). 

Following this transaction, Pete has a beneficial shareholding of 10,000 shares. 

This notification is in accordance with DTR 3.1.4 R and the transaction was conducted in London and was in respect of ordinary shares of 11¹⁶/₂₉ pence each in the share capital of the Company of which there were 406,683,099 shares in issue at the time of the dealing.
