365 CORPORATION STRENGTHENS ONLINE BETTING OFFERING
WITH EXCLUSIVE PERSON TO PERSON FLUTTER.COM DEAL
Digital media and communications company, 365 Corporation Plc ('365') and
Flutter.com, the UK's leading person-to-person betting site announce an
exclusive year-long betting deal, commencing in March 2001. Flutter.com will
be the exclusive person-to-person betting provider to 365's 2.4 million users
(September 2000), allowing them access to sports, music and financial betting
content and enabling them to own wagers, as well as take up wagers offered by
other users. 365 will receive guaranteed revenue based on revenue share of
user betting activity and a fixed fee for introducing new registered users to
Flutter. Person-to-person betting is essentially head-to-head betting between
two people who set the price with no bookmaker in the middle of the
transaction.
Access to person to person betting through Flutter.com will be available via a
direct link on all of 365's web sites including www.football365.com,
www.planet-rugby.com, www.music365.com and www.business365.co.uk. The
co-branded site will enable users to place their flutters, without moving away
from the 365 sites, with an interface that is easy to understand and use. In
the betting area, Flutter.com will also provide news, polls and up to the
minute wagers on everything from football and racing to motorsports and
financial markets. The deal will also include joint promotions, content and
branding opportunities.
The new partnership with Flutter.com is a significant step in 365's proposed
series of betting deals with leading global brands such as Sportingbet (fixed
odds) and Sporting Index (spread betting). 365's betting portfolio has been
developed across specialist areas that encompass various forms of betting
including fixed-odds, spread betting and pools.
365 Corporation's Chief Executive Officer, Dan Thompson said,
'Flutter.com is the leader in the person-to-person betting market. The deal
will integrate Flutter's services and 365's content, to maximize revenue from
new and existing audiences. This exciting new deal continues to strengthen
365's betting proposition to users, across a broad spectrum of areas.'
Flutter.com's Business Development Director, Tim Levene said,
'Teaming up with one of the leading sports and entertainment networks in the
UK is a fantastic way of introducing fluttering to a mass market. Flutter.com
is a site for anyone with a passion, who wishes to enhance it in a different
and exciting way. Users of football365, rugby365 and racetips365 are
passionate about sport, and this deal offers them an unrivalled entertainment
experience - placing flutters on the outcomes of games, matches and races.'
