Replacement Transaction in Own Shares Announcement

The "Transaction in Own Shares" announcement released on 27 November 2023 at 17.03 under RNS No. 8124U included incorrect number of treasury shares and ordinary shares in circulation. The total number of ordinary shares in circulation should have read 157,091,525 and treasury shares  should have read 38,575,209. The Edinburgh Investment Trust plc announces that on 27 November 2023, it purchased for holding in treasury 60,000 ordinary shares of 25p each at a price of 662.67p per share.

Following this transaction, the Company has 38,575,209 ordinary shares held in treasury and 157,091,525  ordinary shares in circulation.  The total number of ordinary shares in issue is 195,666,734.
