BP AMERICA A-740 #1 WELL UPDATE
Empyrean Energy Plc is pleased to report that production from the BP America A-740 well has been increased due to encouraging pressure data being observed.
The well is currently flowing to sales on a 7/64" choke with 3420 psi of flow tubing pressure and flow rates have been stable with an average gas rate of 1,050,000 cubic feet of gas per day (1,050 Mcf/d) and an additional average oil rate of 40.44 barrels of oil per day (40 bopd) for the last 7 days of production.
Empyrean has a 10% working interest in this well.
Commenting today Empyrean Executive Director, Tom Kelly said "These early flow rates have improved significantly and the pressure data is encouraging for this reservoir. The rates have been conservatively choked back and the operator is hoping to be able to engineer future wells at Hercules to improve on these rates."
The information contained in this announcement was reviewed by the Technical Director of Empyrean Energy Plc, Mr Frank Brophy BSc (Hons) who has over 40 years experience as a petroleum geologist.
