Enterprise Oil and SSI sign IT outsourcing contract
Enterprise Oil and Shell Services International (SSI) today signed an
agreement for the outsourcing of Enterprise's UK IT services.
SSI will provide IT infrastructure and telecommunications services from its
bases in Wythenshawe and Aberdeen. A small team will be based onsite at
Enterprise's London and Aberdeen offices to handle problems that cannot be
dealt with remotely.
The contract is for an initial period of 5 years and covers such services as
desktop support, networks, email, video conferencing, and technology planning.
Pierre Jungels, Chief Executive, commented: 'The signing of this agreement
with SSI marks another step in the streamlining of Enterprise's business and
the continuation of its cost reduction programme. IT services are now more
effectively provided by a large specialist supplier. Outsourcing should
provide Enterprise with access to the latest technologies with minimum support
overheads.'
Clive Mather, Chief Executive Officer, SSI, said: 'Clearly I am delighted that
Enterprise has chosen SSI for its UK IT service provision. We look forward to
a close working relationship and providing first-class IT services to
Enterprise.'
