New contract wins for Expro
Expro International Group PLC ('Expro'), the international oilfield services
company, announced today a series of contract renewals and additions valued at
over £30m, with 60% representing new business over the next couple of years.
The contracts span the globe and include awards from blue chip clients: Arco,
BHP, BP Amoco, Chevron, China Oil, Mobil, NAM, Shell and Texaco.
Approximately half of the contracts are for the provision of the Group's cased
hole services, relating to field maintenance and production enhancement. Of
special interest is the supply of subsurface products to Shell Philippines for
their technically challenging deepwater Malampaya development.
John Dawson, the Expro Chief Executive said
'These contract awards confirm Expro's key competitive position on a global
scale. The market is emerging from the oil price shock with the need for
increased investment combined with the drive for greater business efficiency.
Those service companies with a track record of innovation and low cost
technical solutions will prosper in this new environment.'
