Appointment of Tim Eggar as non-executive director
Expro International Group PLC, the oilfield services company, is pleased to
announce the appointment of The Rt. Hon. Tim Eggar to the Board as a
non-executive director with immediate effect.
Tim Eggar is currently Vice-Chairman of Corporate Finance at ABN AMRO with
responsibility for the Integrated Energy sector and brings a wealth of
experience to Expro.
After graduating from Cambridge and qualifying as a barrister, Tim Eggar began
his career with Hambros Bank, before spending eight years with the European
Banking Company, where he specialised in the Euromarkets and international
corporate advisory work for the Energy sector. From 1983 - 1985 he was a
non-executive director of Charterhouse Petroleum plc.
In 1979 he was elected Member of Parliament for Enfield North, becoming a member
of the UK government in 1985. He has held several ministerial roles as a
Minister in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Minister of State in the
Department of Employment and also in the Department of Education and Science,
and as Minister for Energy in the Department of Trade & Industry. In 1994 Tim
was given a combined role as Minister for Industry and Energy from which,
following his decision not to stand for re-election, he resigned in 1996.
Following appointments as Chairman of both MW Kellogg and Agip (UK), Tim was
appointed Chief Executive of Monument Oil & Gas in 1998 (resigning as Chairman
from both previous posts) and joined the LASMO Board as a non-executive director
after the merger with LASMO plc (now ENI Lasmo Plc).
Commenting on the appointment, Graeme Coutts, Chief Executive said: "We are very
pleased to be able to announce the appointment of Tim as a non-executive
director. His wide knowledge of industry regulators and international energy
markets will strengthen the Board in its pursuit of the group's global
strategy."
There is no information, which would require disclosure under paragraphs 6.F.2
(b) to 6.F.2 (g) and paragraphs 16.4 and 16.5 of the Listing Rules of the UK
Listing Authority.
