Betboo wins Latin American Operator of the Year at the EGR Awards
Gaming VC Holdings S.A. (AIM: GVC), a leading European online gaming company, is pleased to announce that its subsidiary, Betboo, has won Latin American Operator of the Year at the eGaming Review (EGR) Awards, which took place at London's Old Billingsgate on Monday 30 November 2009.
The EGR Awards, known as the "Oscars of the online gaming world", recognise the best operators within the e-gaming industry. Betboo has won the award for successfully tapping into the South American market as well navigating the legal and regulatory landscapes and providing its players with safe and secure payment solutions. The Latin American gaming market is still considered to be in its infancy and an exciting region for e-gaming to grow and expand.
Commenting on the award, Kenny Alexander, Chief Executive of Gaming VC, said: "I am delighted that Betboo has been recognised at the industry's premier awards. Since acquiring the company in July 2009, we have been impressed with the way the company has performed and look forward to prosperous growth in South America. We believe the Latin American marketplace will be one of the fastest growing e-gaming markets, and through Betboo, the Group is well placed to take advantage of this huge opportunity."
Betboo was established in 2005 to provide Bingo, Sportsbook, Casino and Poker access to South American customers. The company has over 3,000 active monthly customers.
