Board Changes
Gaming VC Holdings S.A., a leading online casino games operator, is pleased to
announce the appointment of Gerard W Cassels as interim Chief Financial Officer
with immediate effect to replace Dr Robert Willis who is stepping into a
non-executive position. The position left vacant by Marie Stevens who became
Chairman of 888.com recently will be filled in due course.
Commenting on the Board Changes Steve Barlow, CEO said:
'As one of the founders of Gaming VC, Bob has been inspirational both before and
after our IPO last December, this move as planned is to allow Bob to concentrate
on other areas of the business including development and strategy.'
'Gerard has been working with us since the IPO heading up our outsourced finance
operation and is already up to speed with our business. He is a very experienced
FD and will be on the short list for the permanent position.'
Gerard W Cassels (43) is an experienced Finance Director of listed companies,
both in Europe and US. Between 2001 and 2004, he was Group Finance Director for
medical device design, development and licensing company, NMT Group PLC, prior
to which he was Group Finance Director of niche speciality paper and board
manufacturer Inveresk PLC. Gerard started his career at KPMG in the corporate
finance department and is a qualified chartered accountant.
