ESO Special Opportunities PLC ("ESO" or the "Company") has been informed that Giles Brand, the Managing Partner of EPIC Private Equity LLP ("EPE"), the Investment Advisor to ESO, yesterday bought 2,000,934 ordinary shares in the capital of the Company ("Shares") at a market price of 42.00p. In addition, certain other employees of EPE also bought 192,856 Shares at the same price.

Following these transactions, Mr. Brand holds 5,179,715 Shares representing 16.82 per cent of the issued ordinary share capital of the Company. Partners and employees of EPE (including Mr. Brand) and EPE hold 6,196,751 Shares in aggregate representing 20.12 per cent of the issued ordinary share capital of the Company.
