Appointment of New Vice President of Sales & Business Development

Equipmake, the UK-based engineering specialist pioneering the development and production of electrification products across the automotive, aerospace, bus, and coach industries, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jinsong Dai as Vice President of Sales and Business Development, effective immediately.

Operating out of the US and overseeing Equipmake's global commercial initiatives, Dai's appointment represents a strategic move for the business and reinforces Equipmake's global growth plans, with a focus on priority markets for electrification.

Dai has significant expertise across the electrification sector and joins Equipmake from Sensata Technologies - a $4.0 billion company with 20,000 employees, specialising in electrification products and power conversion solutions for the mobility & transport, industrial, and aerospace sectors.

In multiple senior leadership roles during his seven-year tenure at Sensata, Dai delivered highly successful programmes across business development, marketing, and product management, overseeing projects driving electrification innovation across the e-mobility and clean energy markets.

His most recent position was Global Director of Marketing, Product Line Ownership, and Programme Management within Sensata's Clean Energy Solutions business unit, where he led the global expansion of four electrification product lines. Prior to Sensata, Dai held business development and engineering management roles at CRCC, a global leader in high-speed railway design and engineering.

Ian Foley, CEO of Equipmake, commented: "I am thrilled to announce that Jinsong has joined Equipmake as Vice President of Sales and Business Development. He is an outstanding and highly motivated professional in the electrification industry, bringing extensive hands-on experience in scaling up numerous electrification product lines to mass-production level through global market expansion and strategic channel growth. His experience and worldwide connections will be invaluable in supporting Equipmake's growth strategy, especially in key markets like the U.S."

Jinsong Dai, newly appointed Vice President of Sales and Business Development at Equipmake, added: "Over the last decade, Equipmake has built a stellar reputation as a leading developer and manufacturer of e-powertrain products and solutions for all types of electric vehicle. I am delighted to join Equipmake at this exciting time and look forward to bringing our unique solutions and system integration expertise to global markets, driving the transition to an electrified world."
