The Boards of European Assets Trust NV ('the Company') announce today's retirement of Sir John Ward CBE. 

Sir John had announced previously his intention to retire from the Supervisory Board in the latter half of this year in the Annual Results Announcement of 6 March 2015.

Sir John served as Chairman of the Company from June 1995 until earlier this year.  The Boards and the Company's advisors thank Sir John for his invaluable contribution to the success of the Company and the guidance and wise counsel he has provided throughout his tenure as Chairman and Supervisory Director.

Sir John thanks the Boards and wishes the Company continued success.
