European Motor Hldgs PLC
1 March 2001
EUROPEAN MOTOR HOLDINGS plc ('EMH')
European Motor Holdings plc is pleased to announce the acquisition of the
assets and business of the D C Cook (Motors) Limited (in Receivership) Jaguar
dealership in Doncaster from the Receiver. The assets, which have been
acquired for cash, are approximately £80,000.
This additional Jaguar business will increase the group's Jaguar
representation to four franchises; the others also being in Yorkshire, in
Leeds, Harrogate and York. This increase in Premier Automotive Group ('PAG')
franchises (Jaguar, Land Rover and Volvo) will mean that the Group now holds
11 PAG franchises in the United Kingdom.
EMH is particularly pleased to take on another Jaguar franchise just as the
details of the new 'X' type sports saloon are announced.
This acquisition also confirms the Board's objective of continuing to grow the
number of PAG franchises within the Group.
