For immediate release
18 June 2004
EUROPEAN MOTOR HOLDINGS plc ("EMH")
At the Annual General Meeting of European Motor Holdings plc being held at
midday today, Richard Palmer, Chief Executive, will make the following
statement:
"The Group's profits for the first three months of this financial year are ahead
of budget and significantly ahead of last year. This improvement is principally
due to the performance of our Motor Retail Division, where registrations for the
premium brands that we have chosen to represent continue to outperform the
market as a whole.
We are progressing discussions which, if successful, would lead to a number of
acquisitions of motor dealerships representing our core partners during the
current year.
We expect another very satisfactory year."
