Elections for first interim dividend in respect of the year ending 31 March 2017

9 December 2016 - Experian plc, the global information services company, hereby notifies the market that, following the announcement on 9 November 2016 of a first interim dividend of 13.0 US cents per ordinary share payable on 27 January 2017 to shareholders on the register of members at the close of business on 30 December 2016, shareholders are reminded that the final date for submission of:

(a)     elections to receive UK sourced dividends via the Income Access Share arrangements, and

(b)     elections to receive dividends in US dollars

is 30 December 2016.

In the absence of any such elections, previous elections or deemed elections will remain in force.

Shareholders who do not elect (or have not been deemed to elect) to receive UK sourced dividends through the Income Access Share arrangements are reminded that their dividends will be Irish sourced and subject to Irish dividend withholding tax unless the Company's share registrars are in possession of a valid exemption form by 30 December 2016. Exemption forms should be delivered to the registrars' Dividend Planning Team so as to arrive no later than 5.30pm on 30 December 2016.

In addition, unless shareholders validly elect by 30 December 2016 to receive US dollars, their dividends will be paid in sterling at a rate per share calculated on the basis of the exchange rate from US dollars to sterling pounds on 6 January 2017. If you hold your shares in uncertificated form, which is via CREST, and wish to make an election to receive US dollars, your instruction should be made via the established procedure for dividend elections in CREST. Certificated holders who wish to make an election to receive US dollars should complete and lodge the election form which is available from the shareholder portal at www.experianplc.com/shares or by contacting the share registrars directly. All valid elections must be received by 30 December 2016.

Enquiries may be addressed to the share registrars' Dividend Planning Team on 0371 664 9245. Calls are charged at the standard geographic rate and will vary by provider. Calls made outside the United Kingdom will be charged at the applicable international rate. Lines are open from 9.00am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday excluding public holidays in England and Wales. The address for the return of election forms is Capita Registrars (Jersey) Limited, PO Box 532, St Helier, Jersey, JE4 5UW.
