fastjet customer satisfaction high;
100% would recommend fastjet to a friend
fastjet, Africa's low-cost airline, is delighted to announce the results of its recent customer satisfaction survey. The online survey, which was completed by over 1000 fastjet passengers, has yielded overwhelmingly positive responses across the board.
The results demonstrate fastjet's success not only in providing affordable airfares to its customers, but also maintaining international standards of quality, security and reliability.
Since operations launched in November 2012, 99.7 per cent of fastjet flights have departed on time, of which 82 per cent arrived early.
9 out of 10 passengers surveyed considered fastjet flights to be very good value and stated that they would fly with fastjet again. 100 per cent of participants were satisfied with their flights and said they would recommend fastjet to a friend. The on-board service was rated excellent by over half of respondents.
Strikingly, 38 per cent of those surveyed had never flown before fastjet's entry to the market; many commented that prior to this, air travel would simply not have been possible for them. Of these new flyers, 98% said that would fly with fastjet again. To date, 30,000 tickets have been sold at the lowest fare of USD$20.
fastjet is also leading the drive towards digital distribution in Africa. The fastjet.com website, has recorded over 2,000,000 page views since launch, with a remarkable 8.7% sales conversion. This, coupled with the fact that mobile money transactions (through M-Pesa) now equates to approximately 25% of revenues, means that fastjet passengers have, for the first time, a truly multi - channel distribution platform.
Commenting on the results of the survey, fastjet's Chief Commercial Officer Richard Bodin said:
"We would like to thank our customers for their encouraging feedback and overwhelming support.
fastjet's passengers remain our top priority and we fully intend to keep delivering the high standard of service that has come to be expected of us."
