Nestle Rowntree confirms success of Immedia's 'Impulse Live' radio station
with new annual advertising contract
Immedia Broadcasting, the UK's leading provider of live tailored radio for
retailers, today announces that following last year's success, it has signed
another exclusive annual advertising contract with Nestle Rowntree on its
Impulse Live radio station through MindShare.
This is the second advertising contract win announced by Immedia in a week,
having announced earlier this week the GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Consumer Healthcare
two-year broadcast package with Immedia's radio station Lloydspharmacy Live.
'Impulse Live', the largest in-store digital media in the UK, provides live
tailored radio to the convenience sector. It is broadcast to 20 million shoppers
a week at Spar, Londis, Texaco and others. It offers advertisers effective
opportunities to reach consumers whilst they are actively making purchase
decisions.
Earlier this year, Nestle Rowntree became the exclusive chocolate and sugar
confectionery advertiser on Immedia's 'Impulse Live' radio station. Following
the success of the advertising campaigns, Nestle Rowntree has now signed a
six-figure annual contract with Immedia for 2006. Brand campaigns rotate
throughout the year with a mix of adverts, live presenter product endorsements,
trade interviews, competition sponsorship and feature branding.
David Rennie, Marketing Director at Nestle Rowntree, commented: 'The campaigns
on Impulse Live radio station have proved very successful over the last year,
delivering impressive sales uplifts on brands advertised. We believe this
station is a powerful channel for us to add value to our brand communications,
particularly given the very competitive retail environment, and we look forward
to continued success by working with Immedia.'
Mark Leggett, Business Director at MindShare said: 'The Impulse Live radio
network has proved to be a powerful media channel to engage shoppers and grow
sales for Nestle in the convenience sector. We are pleased to have secured the
exclusivity for Nestle Rowntree and this deal fits with our commitment to
deliver innovative, accountable media solutions for our clients. We look
forward to delivering strong returns through the Impulse Live network for Nestle
Rowntree in 2006'.
Bruno Brookes, CEO of Immedia, added: 'We are delighted by Nestle's decision to
renew its exclusive advertising contract with 'Impulse Live'. Nestle's
commitment is once again further testament that Immedia's live, tailored
in-store radio is an effective way to influence consumers. We are confident
campaigns will continue to demonstrate great success.'
