Immedia Broadcasting and Qm Group launch Radiovision
Leading queue management company Qm Group and in-store radio pioneer Immedia
Broadcasting plc announce today that they have joined forces to develop an
innovative live in-store radio with synchronised video content called
'Radiovision'. Immedia Broadcasting's Chief Executive Bruno Brookes has teamed up
with queue system and video content experts Qm Group to create a mix of tailored
radio and vision for retail environments.
Visitors to the Multi Channel Retail Show (MCRS) on 15 and 16 March will witness
the first public demonstration of Radiovision.
Immedia's in-store radio provides retailers with live and interactive radio,
which entertains and engages shoppers in an up to the minute way that
pre-recorded content does not.
Together with Qm Group the company is now set to provide the next generation of
in-store radio 'Radiovision'. This impressive technology will see live in-store
radio working alongside specially consolidated video to provide customers with a
mix of current affairs, informative sponsored content, music and entertainment.
The video is played on in-store digital screens via Qm Group's Single Queue
Vision (SQV) queue management system.
Broadcasting live at the MCRS, Immedia and Qm Group will demonstrate how the
system works in a number of retail and retail-financial scenarios including DIY
retail, banking, consumer electronics, pharmacy retail and sportswear.
Visitors will witness for the first time how video content ties in with the
radio, in a number of live interviews on the stand using Qm Group's SQV system.
Bruno Brookes, CEO of Immedia commented: 'Live, in-store radio is growing in
popularity as retailers and service providers are seeing the positive effect it
has on customers. It provides a perfect vehicle to engage with customers in a
very human, entertaining, friendly and informative way. This builds a positive
association and level of trust between both parties.'
Martin Christie, technical director at Qm Group said: 'Against a backdrop of
continuing pressure on retailers to maintain market share, those that understand
their customers best and genuinely add value to the shopping experience will be
the most successful in the long term. We believe sensitive use of technology is
part of the answer. We think Radiovision embodies the key elements to gain real
customer loyalty.'
