Exclusive advertising contract with Nestle and sales team expansion
Immedia, the provider of live tailored radio stations for retailers, is pleased
to announce it has signed an exclusive advertising contract with Nestle on its
'Impulse Live' radio station. Following a series of successful advertising
campaigns such as Smarties Bar, KitKat and Polo on Impulse Live, Nestle will now
become the station's exclusive chocolate and sugar confectionery advertiser for
2005. The deal enables Nestle to rotate brand campaigns throughout the year
through a mix of adverts, live presenter product endorsements, trade interviews,
competition sponsorship and feature branding. Nestle's first campaign is to
support their KitKash promotion.
'Impulse Live' is broadcast to the impulse convenience sector, including Texaco,
Londis and Spar stores. Reaching 20 million shoppers a week, it is the largest
in-store media tool in the UK and offers advertisers exciting opportunities to
reach consumers whilst they are actively making purchase decisions.
Graham Walker, Sales Communications Manager, Nestle Rowntree, commented: 'The
campaigns we have run so far on Impulse Live radio station have proved very
successful, delivering average sales uplift of more than 25% on brands
advertised. We believe the station is a very efficient medium for us to add
value to our brand advertising and trade marketing and boost sales. We are
looking forward to continued success by working with Immedia.'
Immedia is also pleased to announce it is expanding its sales team through an
outsourcing agreement with Unique Media Sales who will set up a sales team to
develop media sales for its radio live stations, including 'Impulse Live'. Sue
Wills will be heading the team at Unique.
On the partnership, Sue Wills, Head of Brand Development, commented: 'In-store
digital media is being increasingly recognised by big brands and agencies as a
powerful media channel to influence consumers brand choices at the point of
purchase and to drive sales. I believe the medium will see substantial growth
over the coming years and by creating a dedicated media sales team we look
forward to sharing in the successes with Immedia at this exciting time.'
Bruno Brookes, CEO of Immedia, added: 'We are delighted by Nestle's decision to
sign its first exclusive advertising contract with Impulse Live and look forward
to continuing to deliver great results for their brands. Nestle's commitment is
further testament that live, tailored in-store radio is an effective way to
influence consumers and is an important advertising medium of the future. We
are also delighted to have partnered with Unique to expand our sales team. As we
accelerate our development, Unique's sales expertise will be invaluable to
maximise our advertising revenues'.
