Galloper Wind Farm Ltd Contract Award
James Fisher and Sons plc ("James Fisher" or the "Group") announces that it has been awarded a marine services and support contract worth in excess of £25m by Galloper Wind Farm Limited (GWFL), a joint equity partnership between RWE Innogy UK, UK Green Investment Bank, Siemens Financial Services and Macquarie Capital.
James Fisher will be responsible for providing key elements of marine services and support to the Galloper team during the construction phase of the 336MW wind farm, located 27km off the coast of Suffolk. Services will include construction site set-up, marine co-ordination, OWMS™ marine management system, crew transfer vessels, vessel refueling and emergency response services. The contract also includes the provision of ad-hoc support arrangements for diving services, operation of remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), and unexploded ordinance identification and disposal.
The offshore construction phase of the project is scheduled to commence in June 2016 and to complete in late 2017. The wind farm will commence operation in March 2018.

Galloper Wind Farm Limited (GWFL) is a joint equity partnership of 25% each between RWE Innogy UK, UK Green Investment Bank, Siemens Financial Services and Macquarie Capital. RWE Innogy is leading the development and construction of the wind farm on behalf of the project partners. Galloper Offshore Wind Farm is an extension of the existing and fully operational Greater Gabbard Wind Farm off the coast of Suffolk. The project represents an expected investment potential of around £1.5 billion and will create 700 jobs during construction and around 90 during operation. It is estimated that the average annual generation expected at the site will be equivalent to the approximate domestic needs of around 336,000 average households.
