Following market notifications in April and September, Paddy Power plc confirms
that Mr. Patrick Kennedy assumed the position of chief executive of Paddy Power
plc on 1 January 2006.


Mr. Kennedy succeeds Mr. John O'Reilly following his retirement as chief
executive and company director on 31 December 2005.
