AGM Statement
Significant new partnerships and a positive start to new financial year
Fonix, the mobile payments and messaging provider is pleased to provide the following update ahead of the Company's Annual General Meeting ("AGM"), to be held at 3:00p.m. today.
Fonix has had a positive start to the financial year, in line with management expectations, with highlights including new partnership agreements signed with Venntro Media Group and a global payments platform provider. The partnership with Venntro will see the roll-out of carrier billing into Venntro's 2,500+ white labelled dating sites. The partnership with the payments platform partner will allow Fonix to provide carrier billing services to their significant international customer base, increasing the Company's presence in new territories.
In September, Fonix mobile payments made a significant contribution to the £13m in charitable donations raised for ITV's Soccer Aid. This followed £0.5m in mobile donations raised for The Ruth Strauss Foundation in August. This week also sees Fonix once again power donations for BBC Children In Need for the eighth consecutive year.
The business has progressed its planned investment in both technology and sales, with several new hires, as the business looks to expand its client base in core sectors whilst continuing to deliver new and enhanced products and services.
With high levels of repeating revenue, significant new platform partnerships, new supplier connections in international markets and a growing pipeline of client prospects across all sectors, the Board continues to be confident in the growth potential for Fonix for the rest of the financial year and beyond.
