FORESIGHT SOLAR VCT PLC

APPOINTMENT OF NEW CHAIRMAN

The Board of Foresight Solar VCT plc is pleased to announce the appointment of David Hurst-Brown as Chairman of the Board with effect from 6 August 2012.  David is currently a director of Hargreave Hale AIM VCT 2 plc, Imagination Technologies Group plc, Ffastfill plc and Anite plc. He was previously a director of Hargreave Hale AIM VCT 1 plc, Keydata Income VCT 1 plc, Keydata Income VCT 2 plc and Acuity VCT 3 plc. David is also a former director of Smart Approach Group plc which was put into administration in February 2006.

There are no further disclosures pursuant to paragraphs 9.6.13(1) to 9.6.13(6) of the Listing Rules in relation this appointment.

The Board of Foresight Solar VCT plc regards David Hurst-Brown as an independent director in accordance with the UK Corporate Governance Code. David currently holds 52,500 ordinary shares in the company.

David joins as chairman following the sudden and unexpected death of Lord Maples in June. The Board of Foresight Solar VCT plc and all those associated with the company would like to again extend their deepest sympathies to his family.

On the appointment, director Mike Liston said:
