Fresnillo plc - Board Changes
Fresnillo plc (the "Company") announces that Mr Alberto Tiburcio will be appointed to the board of directors of the Company (the "Board") as an independent non-executive director with effect from 4 May 2016. Mr Tiburcio will also be appointed to the Audit Committee as a member with effect from the same date.
Mr Tiburcio worked for Ernst&Young from 1969 until 2013 and was the Chairman and CEO of Ernst&Young Mexico from January 2001 until his retirement in June 2013. He has served as statutory auditor and advisor to many prestigious Mexican companies.
The Board has also agreed that Mr Arturo Fernández, a non-executive director of the Company, will be appointed as a member and Chairman of the Health, Safety, Environment and Community Relations Committee with immediate effect.
