CHAIRMAN'S TRADING STATEMENT
Extract from the statement made at the Annual General Meeting held today: 26
July 2005.
"It has been a satisfactory start to the year with trading for the first quarter
in line with expectations. The improved performance seen in our hotels and City

Our passion to deliver quality and service together with the breadth and balance
of our business give us confidence in our ability to continue to make further
progress."
