        John Mellon and Lisa Gordon appointed as non-executive Directors

The board of The Future Network plc is pleased to announce the appointment of
John Mellon (62) and Lisa Gordon (36) to the Board as independent non-executive
Directors with effect from 12 March 2003.

John Mellon has had a successful business career in magazine publishing and he
was Chairman of IPC Magazines and a member of the executive committee of Reed
Elsevier.

Lisa Gordon is the former Corporate Development Director of Chrysalis Group PLC,
a post she resigned at the end of 2002 to allow her to spend more time with her
family.

Before joining Chrysalis in 1994, she worked with County NatWest in London, and
IFPI, the record industry trade body.

Roger Parry, Future's Chairman, commented:

'We welcome John's experience of both magazine publishing and of the listed
company sector.  We are also pleased to welcome Lisa, whose experience of the UK
media sector is valuable.  I have no doubt that their respective experiences and
independent views will add considerably to our board discussions as we move
forward, after a successful 2002.'

John Mellon and Lisa Gordon have no details to disclose under paragraph 6.F.2
(b-g) of the Listing Rules.
