TERMINATION OF DISCUSSIONS OF AN OFFER FOR THE COMPANY
On Wednesday 1 August 2001 The Future Network plc ('the Company') (LSE: FNET)
announced that it is continuing to review its alternatives relating to its
capital structure, including capital raising from existing or new
shareholders, asset sales, and a possible sale of the Company. The Company
announced that it is involved in discussions with a number of parties in
relation to potential transactions of this nature.
Subsequent to that announcement, discussions relating to a potential offer for
the Company have been terminated. The Company continues to review its
options, which do not currently include a sale of the Company.
