GALANTAS ANNOUNCES NEW GENERAL MANAGER AT OMAGH GOLD MINE

18  June 2010: Omagh Minerals Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Galantas Gold Corporation (TSX Venture -GAL) (AIM - GAL), has appointed Richard Crew (46) as General Manager at its open pit gold-mine near Omagh, County Tyrone Northern Ireland. A qualified Mine Manager and gold open pit specialist, Richard has worked in South America, Southern and West Africa, Spain, Turkey and the UK.

Richard Crew replaces Nicholas Hardie, who continues to work with the company in a part-time specialist role. Galantas President, Roland Phelps said, "Nick has made a substantial contribution to the growth of the Omagh business and our recent success is due in no small part to him. He has chosen to return to England for family reasons. I am delighted that he will continue to offer his advice and expertise as the company moves forward."

Galantas also confirms, in accordance with Rule 20 of the AIM Rules for Companies, that the Company's Annual Report and Accounts for the year ending 31 December 2009 have been posted to shareholders.
