RELEASE OF SHARES BY THE GALLIFORD TRY EMPLOYEE SHARE TRUST

Galliford Try plc (the 'Company') announces that on 15th September 2008 the Galliford Try Employee Share Trust released 224,853 ordinary shares of 5p each in the Company to participants in the Company's share-based long term incentive plan in respect of the vesting of conditional awards originally made on 13 September 2005.  The Galliford Try Employee Share Trust now holds 4,337,562 shares.

Each of the executive directors of the Company is a potential beneficiary under the Galliford Try Employee Share Trust and therefore in accordance with section 329 Companies Act 1985, is regarded as having a notional interest in the Galliford Try Employee Share Trust holding of 4,337,562 shares.
