GALLIFORD TRY SECURES £45 MILLION PFI EDUCATION PROJECT
23rd February 2004: Galliford Try plc, the construction and housebuilding group,
today announced it has been selected as the preferred bidder for the £45 million
new 1,500-place Caludon Castle School and Community College PFI Project in
Coventry.
The preferred bidder status was awarded to the Coventry Education Partnership,
which consists of Galliford Try in conjunction with Bilfinger Berger. The
project which includes design, build and operation has a total value of £45
million, including a £21 million capital build programme which will be
undertaken over the next two years.
The project includes the development of a new community campus facility that
incorporates state of the art education facilities surrounded by a sports and
leisure complex with a 25m swimming pool, as well as a community library
facility, a creche and nursery.

preferred bidder award on a PFI education project in the last two months. Based
