GALLIFORD TRY SECURES £35 MILLION WASTE WATER TREATMENT CONTRACT
20 April 2004: Galliford Try, the construction and housebuilding group, today
announced it has secured a further contract with Welsh Water to design and
construct a new Wastewater Treatment Works in Holyhead, Anglesey, North Wales.
The project has a total value of £35 million and includes associated pumping
stations, storage tanks and 23km of pipelines throughout the Holyhead catchment
area.
The project is an additional contract to the £60m five year AMP3 programme of
work awarded in 2000. The design of the project is well advanced and
construction work is due to commence later this month and be complete by the
regulatory deadline of December 2005.
