Games Workshop Group PLC ('the Company')
The Company received notification on 27 February 2001 that, following the sale
of 100,000 Ordinary Shares of 5p each on 22 February 2001 AMVESCAP PLC (and
subsidiary companies on behalf of discretionary clients) have an interest in
4,293,546 Ordinary Shares representing 13.70% of the issued share capital of
the Company.
The details of this interest, together with a breakdown between registered
holders:

None of these shares are beneficially owned by AMVESCAP. Subsidiary companies
of AMVESCAP have a large number of portfolio management clients for whom they
act as investment manager and investment advisor and by virtue of Section 203
of the Companies Act 1985 AMVESCAP is deemed to have the same interest in the
shares.
The above holding includes the following holdings: INVESCO English and
International Trust plc holds 1,761,205 Ordinary Shares (5.626%), INVESCO GT
UK Growth Fund holds 1,200,000 Ordinary Shares (3.83%) and, INVESCO GT UK
Smaller Companies Fund holds 1,139,565 Ordinary Shares (3.64%), all registered
in the name of Chase Nominees Limited.
