GAMES WORKSHOP GROUP PLC ('the Company')

The following replaces the announcement released on the 9 September 2002 at
16.22 RNS No: 9359A.  The number of Ordinary Shares held is 5,718,672 not
5,693,672, the percentage of issued share capital is 19.07% not 18.98%, and of
these ordinary shares;

471,546 are held in British Coal Staff Superannuation a/c: P not 454,879; and

226,603 are held in Mineworkers Pension Scheme a/c: R not 218,270 as previously
stated.

All other information remains unchanged.

Below is a correction dated 10 September 2002 giving full details of their
present shareholding of 5,718,672 representing 19.07% of the total number of
Ordinary Shares in issue.

The Company received notification on 10 September 2002 that Schroder Investment
Management Limited ('SIML'), have an interest in 5,023,672 Ordinary Shares which
are held in portfolios managed on a discretionary basis for clients of SIML
under investment management agreements.

Included in this figure are:

(i)                  3,437,523 Ordinary Shares held in (a) unit trust(s)
operated and managed by an affiliated company, Schroder Unit Trusts Limited, and
registered or to be registered in the name of Chase Nominees Limited;

(ii)       80,000 Shares registered or to be registered in the name of our
wholly-owned subsidiary nominee company, Schroder Nominees Limited;

(iii)               114,000 Ordinary Shares registered in the name of Chase
Manhattan Bank;

(iv)              400,000 Ordinary Shares registered in the name of Imperial
Pensions Nominees Ltd;

(v)                471,546 Ordinary Shares registered in the name of British
Coal Staff Superannuation a/c: P;

(vi)              226,603 Ordinary Shares registered in the name of Mineworkers
Pension Scheme a/c: R;

(vii)             174,000 Ordinary Shares registered in the name of Chase
Nominees Limited;

(viii)           120,000 Ordinary Shares registered in the name of BT Globenet
Nominees Ltd a/c: 6B.

An affiliated company, Schroder Investment Management North America Inc, is
managing (a) portfolio(s) on a similar basis holding a further 695,000 Ordinary
Shares.  600,000 Ordinary Shares are registered or to be registered in the name
of Chase Nominees Limited.  The remaining 95,000 Ordinary Shares are registered
or to be registered in the name of State Street.

SIML and their affiliated companies are therefore interested in 5,718,672
Ordinary Shares in aggregate, representing 19.07% of the Company's issued share
capital.
