                NOTICE OF MAJOR INTEREST IN SHARES OF GB GROUP PLC

GB Group have received notification that Barclays PLC has increased its 
shareholding and now has an interest of 5,028,949 ordinary shares of 2.5p 
representing 6.01% of the issued share capital of the Company on behalf of
holdings  of Barclays Stockbroker Limited and Gerrard Limited.
