                GLENCAR MINING PLC ('Glencar' or the 'Company')

                                 Result of AGM

The Board of Glencar is pleased to announce that all resolutions proposed for
consideration at the Company's Annual General Meeting, held today in Dublin,
were approved.

The Chief Executive, Mr. Hugh McCullough said at the meeting that he expected to
announce the results of the latest drilling programme at Asheba in Ghana in
mid-July. Recent field work on the Sankarani project area in Mali has been very
encouraging and has advanced drill target delineation.
