Appointment of Manager

The Board today announces the appointment of Will Smith as fund manager of Geiger Counter following John Wong's decision to resign from New City Investment Managers.  Will and John will co-manage the portfolio until John's departure in July 2013.  The fund will continue to be supported by the New City team.  

The Board would like to express their thanks to John and wish him well in his future endeavours.  

Will Smith

Will Smith has been with New City Investment Managers since 2008 and is co-manager of City Natural Resources High Yield Trust plc. He has worked alongside John Wong on the Geiger Counter portfolio since he joined New City Investment Managers.  Will has over thirty years' investment experience with New City, Panmure Gordon, UBS and Morgan Grenfell Securities.
